Calling all local artists

Hey all you artistic Little Pantry devotees… Boy, do we have an offer for you… The Little Pantry have brought in a selection of metal bins and have upturned them as chairs in the artistic cafe with the plan to offer them out to artists to turn them from mundane to master-pieces. They are taking submissions from local artists who would like to put a little bit of themselves into the Little Pantry… Either message them through Facebook or pop into the cafe on the corner of James and Kent St…

2012 is coming!

The Christmas Season is here and soon it'll be the New Year!

Kaw Agency has some exciting events coming up at Claret House Wine Bar in January.

Burns Night will be celebrated on the 25th of January with a night of bag pipes and kilts at Claret House. Come along and join in the Scottish celebration.

Then the very next day (26th of January), also at Claret House, is a big Australia Day BBQ! Why not celebrate all countries and cultures with some traditional food and drinks. We are so excited to get along to Claret House on Oz Day and share the Australian spirit with fellow Aussie Food and Wine lovers!

Walking it in for Awareness

KAW agency is delighted to tell you all that there will be a KAW team at this year's Walk For Awareness on the 5th of November.

Primarily focusing on depression, the effects and challenges it poses to those who struggle daily with this debilitating condition, Walk For Awareness represents a converging of awareness and fund raising for two great charities ‘Grow’ & ‘Mates In Construction’.

With registration open from 7am under the Storey Bridge at Captain Burke Park at Kangaroo Point, the loop is expected to finish by 10am back under the bridge with a BBQ, entertainment and workshop presentations from ‘GROW’ and ‘Mates in Construction’.

We'd love you to all come along and show your support for this noble cause and together we can make a difference to those who are suffering - especially those who are suffering in silence.

We hope to see you all down there walking for awareness!

My Faviroute 'Practice Management Musts'

Clear-headed, smart, well-articulated strategy underpins high performing practices. You should know both what you are doing and why you are doing it.

Even the most brilliant strategy is worth little until executed. What matters is implementation of ideas. Successful businesses execute well.

No great ideas, winning strategies, or teams of star professionals will ever produce what they could and should unless day-to-day operations, administration and management of the practice is orderly and routine.

Lack of budget provision doesn’t mean “can’t do it”. Where there’s a strong business strategy, superior results flow from finding the financial resources to fund attractive opportunities.

With thanks to the passionate professional.

Social Media = Building Relationships

Businesses can’t build relationships with their customers if they don’t know what their customers care about, are interested in and what they are saying. Monitoring online chatter can be time consuming, however, costs are minimised if research has been undertaken. By engaging with consumers businesses can initiate discussion about their products, share information and build confidence in their business. As consumers interact with you they see a different aspect of the business. This interaction can build trust with current customers as well as potential ones. In a globalised economy, these relationships are important and can drive customer loyalty.

Social media is all about engagement and relationships. With customers now having a public outlet to express opinions, the dynamic between consumers and business is shifting. Valuable information is available via social media presenting small business with a wonderful opportunity to listen, learn and engage with customers.
